Aquatic Programs

Lane Swim
During this time, there are lanes available for participants to swim for fitness purposes in the pool. All swimmers are asked to swim continuously, but any in-water exercise is permissible so long as the participant is following the lane direction indicated. Swimmers must be 13 years of age or older. 

Family Swim 
A swim for all family members to attend. Children 8 years of age and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian (13+) who is within arms reach in the pool. Please check the pool schedule, as some Family Swims are only in the Family Pool (3ft).

*Y Torpedoes
By registering your child in Y Torpedoes, you are giving them the opportunity to experience what a swim team is like, with a chance to show off these new skills at a swim meet at the end of the program. Coaches run drills to improve stroke technique and speed, as well as teach other important components to racing such as dive entries and flip turns. This program is divided into two levels - Torpedoes One and Torpedoes Two - and is designed for children ages 6-12.  

*Adult Stroke Improvement
This program will focus on improving your technique in swimming, and is appropriate for adults with a desire to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the water. Although freestyle will be a major focus, those wishing to learn or improve their breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke are most welcome. These will not be training sessions for fitness, but will involve drills and technique sessions along with personalized stroke analysis and improvement suggestions.
Pre-requisites: The ability to swim 400 metres in less than 10 minutes. Age of 18 years or older.
